Today (and yesterday) we did some work with the local Red Cross. Brian & Mandy, along with Charlie and Jennifer have developed a good reputation with the Red Cross, which is providing them with a great platform for ministry as they are building great relationships with the people. It’s not about the handing out of waters to people walking, or the picking up of trash along the beaches, but the conversations with the people you are doing it with. Our students are meeting new people and developing great relationships with them, providing them with a possible opportunity to share the gospel.
Last night, we met some of our new friends at a local coffee shop and watched the World Cup with them while sipping on coffee…not a bad ministry platform in my opinion. Some students were up till 3am, still buzzing from their coffee at 10pm! But hey, it’s worth it!
A side note for all the parents; all the luggage is in and students are now wearing clean clothes. You would be so proud as they did not complain ONCE about not having clean clothes.
